Jolynn had her first birthday yesterday!!! I felt inspired to update!
Naomi made the cutest cake, there's a picture of it on her site. I can't believe how much Jolynn changed in a year. After cake and icecream we watched a video of Jolynn taken from day 1 to the present. The first half of it was, I'll admit, very boring, basically consisting of Jolynn lying around ....being cute... She's so much fun now that she's older!

She wasn't too sure about the cake at first. We were all crowded around her with our cameras and cell phones, but it didn't distract her, she's used to being in the limelight. :D ...(what?)

"Oh, that's pretty... I want to touch it."

"Ugg, Dad, what did you do that for? I liked it!"

I love watching her figure things out. She pays so much attention to detail. Like her cake- she had to inspect the little dots of icing before she tasted it.

"Oh, yeah, this is the life." I can't help but laugh whenever I look at this picture. She is hilarious!!

It was so funny watching her "opening" presents. She loved all her gifts. Like Naomi said, she didn't know what to do with herself.
"Cool...

...hey hey, even coooler!"

Well, there you have it. Isn't she adorable?

Jolynn got her first teeth today! Two actually, on the bottom! Yea!

In other news, I thought I would post a picture of Merry and Susie's Christmas tree that Nina and I helped them decorate.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving break is over. :-( It was good, though. The day before Thanksgiving Rachel came over to help me sign up for the SAT. We are both going to take it in January. Anyway, she stayed over for the night and Thanksgiving day. Grandpas and Ernies came over around 12:30. Grandpa and Grandma left pretty soon after dinner to go to South Carolina. The rest stayed and we did pictures, started a puzzle, played games...and took naps. :-D

On Friday I worked at the store. Susie was there so we had a lot of fun trying to decorate the store for Christmas. On Saturday, after I got off work, Mom, Nina and I went shopping! We went to Kohl's, Old Navy and J.C. Penney. I found a (really awesome :-) coat that Mom and Dad got me for my B-day. I also found some Christmas presents. Right now is seriously the time to do Christmas shopping. Yea Sales! :-D
Glendon left early Saturday morning for Jamaica. He went with Harold and some other guys. They are going to do construction work for an orphanage, I believe. He will be gone a week. So keep them in your prayers this week.
The rest of us (that's only Dad, Mom, Nina, Austin, and Me, scary) went to Pennsylvania today. We took Grandpa and Grandma to church, and had dinner with them. I do believe Grandma is the sweetest lady alive! She wanted to do something special for my birthday, so she made an apple cake (which was really good btw :-) but she wanted it to be a birthday cake, so she made a special trip to the store to get candles for me. :-D We left around 4:30, and didn't get back till like 9:00! Yeah, I know. Well, it might have something to do with getting lost in Leesburg! :-D
Tomorrow is back to school..NOOOO! Well, there's always Christmas break to look forward to! :-D

The field trip today was so so SO great!!!! We went to George Mason Center for the Arts to see the Chamber Theatre Productions. They did 5 short stories:
-The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe
-The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving
-The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs
-The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant
-The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain
We were the first group there so we sat in the front row. (Actually the third row, but they didn't seat people in the first and second.) It was just awesome! The story selection was great, and the acting was superb! The only thing was that, since it was a production especially for schools, 90% of the audience were children. So it wasn't as quiet in there as it should have been. And the teachers wanted us to be on our best behavior, lol. It was definitely the best field trip I've ever been on. I couldn't take pictures though, sorry. :-(

Today the school went back to Simon and Polly's for a Thanksgiving dinner. Stephen and I rode in the back of their truck. It was great. Miss Horn was all concerned that we would freeze. :-D It was like 40 degrees outside, but if you sit right behind the cab you don't get much wind. So you can just sit there in the middle of an old rusty tire, lean back, and watch the trees go by. This is the life!

Glendon, Galen, Darrell, Austin and I went to the Fauquier Falcons game. They were playing the Potomac Panthers. It was not so good, Fauquier lost 17 to 7.

Andrew left for South Carolina Sunday morning. :-( Here's to Andrew...

I can't wait for Thanksgiving break! I can finally sleep in! Yeah! :-P I'm kinda stuck in a rut in school right now. This week is almost over and next week is so short. So there isn't much time to get anything in, and I don't want to be in the middle of something when I come back from break. So the only thing I should be working on right now is French. :-\ And I hate French, sooooo ;-)...:-X

Quote of the day:
You're trying to kidnap what I've rightfully stolen.
